Web technologies (2.0 and 3.0) have evolved a great deal, with Web 3.0 allowing products to be marketed through multiple sources on the web in real time, and better indentifying consumers' needs. Initially the Internet was flat and static. Web 2.0 allowed consumers and marketers to interact with one another through the use of social networking, blogs and networks. This technology allowed consumers to start fan pages for products and brands (check out http://jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com), companies to add Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. Customers were now able to interact and share their love of brands, complaints, and ideas about products. Web 3.0 takes this interaction even farther, with consumers having the ability to log in, purchase products with just one click, while also getting past shopping history, reviews from fellow consumers, and suggestions from other companies. Amazon maximizes its use of Web 3.0 through personalization of the marketing process.
