    There a number of methods of analyzing a job or role in the work place. This is

    often under the function of Human Resources (HR). The first is direct observation.

    Watching what people do at different times or at when they are performing parts of their

    job can give insight to HR. Another technique can be the interview which can lead to

    more insight into what a person does either over time or on a daily basis. This can add to

    what the observation technique has already gained.
