The responsibility for these tasks lies with the advertising manager/ product manager at the client's place whereas in the agency this step is carried out by the account executive. The time frame for these tasks is two weeks. The second step is to define exactly what the advertising seeks to sell. For example it might be self-improvement, or pleasure, or peace of mind. The intangible benefits of the service or product must be identified and clarified.
