The School Shooting
On April 16, 2007, the campus of Virginia Tech became the site of the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, when, in two separate incidents, Seung Hui Cho killed 32 people and wounded numerous others. The communication process used to deal with the shooting and its aftermath by Virginia Tech authorities came under heavy criticism, both locally and nationally.
