1. Why is implementation as important as marketing plan development in achieving marketing success?
Plan development is just that, it is a brainstorming session that develops how the product should be marketed. In today's vast world of technology, there are many avenues that a marketing plan can pursue, such as internet marketing, broadcast media marketing and print marketing. The implementation factor is as if not more important, as the marketing plan reaches the consumer through the implementation process. While concept is a well thought out process, without implementation, the marketing plan is just a concept.
An example is Pepsi. The consumer knows the products, where to purchase the products and the vendors of the product advertise the price of the product. This is a marketing plan that was developed and implemented.
