Some common problems when administering employee policies in an organization are that they may not be clearly identified and explained to employees. Furthermore, as organizations grow and gain more employees, employee policies tend to change. Some of these policies are verbal and not written. Therefore, employees get confused about what is proper procedure versus what isn't.
The controversies surrounding employment at will is that it is not a full proof plan for an employer. An employee who is fired can still say that the employer defamed them or made false allegations. Further, the employer could be accused of causing emotional distress.
