These three different concepts are all definitely related to one another. I was very surprised to learn that pay satisfaction does not always relate to one's level of satisfaction on the job. In fact ( http://www.eurojournals.com/EJSS_18_3_13.pdf) states that actually "Salary satisfaction decreases job satisfaction, motivation, performance, and increases absenteeism, turnover intensions." Interestingly, it further goes on to state that "Most importantly, salary satisfaction is being proven as the catalyst for enhancing job satisfaction level of employees " This same study stated that public employees (even though they make less than private employees), are more satisfied with salary satisfaction "No doubt, employees of both the organization give equal importance to 'salary satisfaction'. Hence, like other factors taken in the study, 'salary satisfaction' is an important prerequisite of providing job satisfaction".

However some feel differently about this idea. Dr. Brett Simmons found this information ...' level of pay ...
