An effective training program is one that is involved in the entire human resources process. I am a Training & Development Specialist at a law firm and we are part of an employee's "life" from their very first week. We provide applications and computer-related equipment training on all aspects of every new employee's position. Each session is tailored to the needs of that individual's job duties and work requirements. In addition, we provide supplementary support for all users once they have become a part of our Firm. For example, when staff contact our helpdesk with questions that are of a Training nature ("I need to know if Microsoft Word can do this" or "Can XYZ program perform this function?", for example), we provide ...
