As you briefly explain Analytical Psychological Theory in terms of its assumptions, many of its underpinnings reflect to Jung's theories. In fact, it assumes that prevalent the symptoms permeate "the deeper layers of the psyche. The complexes, archetypes, and symbols help each person realize her/his place in humanity and connection to others while working through the psychological conflicts" (http://wps.prenhall.com/chet_capuzzi_counseling_3/4/1170/299710.cw/index.html). Jung strongly believed that certain archetypes govern people's lives. Its main themes involve individuation, complexes, patterns of behavior or personas, etc.
