Verbal learning is best described as a field of experimental psychology which studies the formation of certain verbal associations which is similar to memorization; deals with acquisition of the associations. A person can learn best when information is presented visually and in a written language format. Which is why many educational institutions provide lectures which include a power point presentation besides the instructor just verbalizing the material. In a classroom setting, you also benefit from instructors who use the blackboard (or overhead projector) to list the essential points of a lecture, or who provide you with an outline to follow along with during lecture.
