These codes of ethics are derived from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. I will provide a summary of these ethics as well as a scenario that many radiologists face in regard to ethical dilemmas within their profession. In reference to a professional code of ethics in Radiology, the primary points entail ensuring that the radiologist adheres to the medical professions' primary code, which is to "do no harm to patients." Therefore, the radiologist must ensure that they always engage in professionalism throughout each encounter with patients as well as every interaction with colleagues wherein they work in tandem with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest quality care and most optimal healthcare outcomes.
