The foundation of a healing hospital is love and not the materialistic reason of revenue, that drives most modern western hospitals and clinics. Granted, even nonprofit corporations need financial flow to keep the basics like phone and supplies available. However, the notion of a focus for profit conflicts with wellness and healing. The healing physical environment; integration of work design and technology; and culture of Radical Loving Care, as Erie Chapman has tried to spearhead is a fabulous initiative.

The concept of love and wellness as the base of the said hospital differs in that the patient becomes the focus for healing rather than the catalyst for cash flow. Spirituality is a major aspect of a person's health, along with social, emotional, and spiritual wellness one is whole and the institution that strives for this in the workplace will prosper.
