One of the components of healing hospitals is the physical environment that is conducive to helping patients to heal, which includes the manner by which the staff interact with the patient which is benevolent and conducive to helping with the overall healing process. Staff members are exceptionally kind to patients and supportive by always providing the patient with uplifting, encouraging statements, as well as exhibiting confidence in the patients' ability to heal. They also act in this manner with their interactions with the patients' family members. It is the air of confidence and cheerfulness that is exhibited by staff members that helps to uplift the spirits of the patients, as well as their family members, which is of a great assistance in the overall healing process. It has been proven that a positive outlook and cheerful countenance are very helpful in helping the body to heal.
