The personal attributes that characterize my own managerial style will not be discussed but those that my wife displays in her position as a nurse administrator will be highlighted. She engages in the type of leadership that is considered servant leadership wherein the leader places the needs of their employees' at the head of their managerial practices. This is because nurses need to be supported and given the ability to be thoroughly listened too as their actions are what dictate patient care. Therefore, they serve the most important role throughout the entire organization in regard to patient care.
