The difference between these two words is the difference between concrete concepts and abstract concepts. Scissors is a concrete object which may be touched, held and seen visually. An example pair may be presented to students to experience. Peace, on the other hand, is an abstract concept, which may not be touched, held in the hand, and seen visually as an object - it cannot be experienced in the same way a concrete object can be explored, with the five tactile senses. It must be explored in thought and theory, much like the wind. You cannot see the wind, you can only observe the evidence of its passing. Peace must be explored in mental examples, and obviously, given the difference between the two, I would not teach them in the same way.
