The OHSAS 18001 is compatible with the ISO 9001 & 14001 standards. Therefore, if ISO adopts health, safety and welfare standards in the workplace, the benefits would be the same as what the OHSAS 18001 can give to the companies which includes all of the things mentioned above.
ISO standardization would require organizations to assess their occupational health & safety risks and hazards in terms of their processes, products and services.
