I am familiar with what was known as Quality Circles or Total Quality Management that involved all employees in the company working on continuous improvement in their jobs and related processes. And I am familiar with the more recent paradigm of Six Sigma. But I am not clear on really how these two approaches are different and the same.
In your report, I want you to first explain the concept of total management, continuous improvement, and six sigma. Then discuss the pros and cons of the quality circle approach versus the six sigma approach. Then recommend which one of these, or maybe a blend, would be the best way to go here at Excellent. And, as usual, I am looking for you to justify your recommendation with good logic and facts.
