    Trust Across Multiple Organizational Levels

Part I. ( A.) Define (summarize) ; (B.) Compare & (C.) Contrast each leadership theory listed below to one another.
    -Shared Leadership

Shared leadership is predicated upon a democratic approach toward leadership wherein leadership responsibilities and duties are extending to many different people within the organization. The objective is to expand the decision-making process associated with operations, strategy, and implementation by encouraging all stakeholders to take a vested interest in the outcomes for the business. It is believed by extending leadership responsibilities, more productivity, organizational commitment, and progress will occur as people who feel that they are an integral part of the process are more inclined to ensure that the organization succeeds. The tenets of this theory are a shared purpose, social support, and providing every stakeholder with a voice in the leadership process. It is believed as globalization continues to expand, more complex markets will increase the use of this style of leadership as the complexity associated with globalization demands more than one leader in global organizations.

    -Integrative Leadership

Integrative leadership is predicated upon harnessing collective expertise in leadership qualities across many different sectors such as business, government, nonprofits, media, and communities to integrate all of the different levels of expertise toward achieving a common good. It is somewhat similar to democratic or shared leadership but instead of relegating leadership qualities to "all" stakeholders, only those with high levels of expertise are encouraged to lead in their respective fields to bring forth their skills to collaborate with experts from other fields.

    -Transformational Leadership

Transformational leadership is placated upon leadership that is capable of transforming organizations, communities, etc. toward the vision that the leader has established. Transformational leaders are capable of utilizing their charisma, people-building skills, and extraordinary visionary techniques to cultivate a leadership style that can bring forth organizational change that transforms an entire organization. These leaders are able to elicit organizational commitment from employees because of their charismatic leadership skills and vision, which transforms people as well as the organization.

    -Strategic Leadership

Strategic leadership could be construed as the symbolic term for (all) forms of leadership as each leadership strategy must determine how the leadership style will impact all business functions throughout the organization including customers, suppliers, and competitors. Strategic leadership seeks to effectively establish the most effective practices and organizational functions that will help the organization gain competitive advantage, acquiring and maintain customers, and reduce costs while increasing profits.

    -Social Change Leadership

Social Change Leadership is placated upon eliciting collaboration throughout different paradigms to foster positive social change by utilizing individual, group, and community skills and cooperation to bring forth change. To accomplish this, democratic participation is necessary, which is on par with shared leadership in regard to the establishment of a non-hierarchical leadership structure that encourages individual responsibility, commitment to a greater purpose than yourself, collaboration with others, and a desire to change society.

    -Complexity Leadership

Complexity leadership is predicated upon recognizing the realities that exist in 21st century globalized markets wherein this era has ushered in what is known as the Knowledge Era in which leaders must account for the fast-paced, volatile, and uncertain business markets that exist in globalized markets. Therefore, leaders must stop attempting to control organizations but should instead develop talent and seek to influence employee behavior throughout the organization to allow for others to develop the necessary skill sets to lead in these complex globalized systems and markets. The objective for complexity leadership is to ensure that the organization remains innovative while providing education to those within the organization to cultivate an organizational environment that is able to have bottom-up hierarchies wherein all stakeholders have a role in leading the company toward success.

    -Comprehensive Leadership

Comprehensive leadership is placated upon the ability to combine extensive research literature reviews on different styles of leadership into a comprehensive approach wherein the four dimensions of leadership consisting of leadership knowledge about (yourself), environment, competitors, and the organization are explored to create the most optimal leadership strategy.

    Multiple organizational levels theory
This theory is placated upon developing an understanding through systematic literature review and analysis of the multiple levels within an organization that are contingent upon different forms of trust in these business functions. Negotiation, team processes, human resource management, strategic alliances, and other organizational levels are looked at in an introspective approach that seeks to assess similarities and differences that exist throughout each level to ascertain the business strengths and weaknesses that exist for the organization.

    Part II.
How can the above theories be integrated for the purposes of bringing more perspective to those researching leadership theory in order to enhance research and practice areas?

Theories can be integrated together with the purpose of bringing more perspective to leadership research by focusing on strategies such as assessing two leadership theories that focus on the same phenomenon but from a different perspective, which enables different explanations for the same phenomenon by using separate but similar theories. Another way to integrate entails using two entirely disparate leadership theories that may appear this way on the surface but are actually linked together through implicit assumptions that are revealed through research literature. The importance of integrating different theories is predicated upon the different insights and perspectives that are provided, which provides a better understanding of leadership in leadership research. Many leadership issues cannot be explained by only one theory, which is why integrating these theories is capable of addressing aspects of leadership management that could not be answered with one leadership theory alone.
