One of the main reasons for Kodak's failure has been its inability to adapt the fundamental shift in the photography market from traditional films to Digital Photography. Kodak was too late and slow to react to these changes that revolutionized the photography industry. Most of the Kodak's efforts to gain a foothold in the digital space was a catchup game. The competition had already increased and many new entrants and existing players had made a significant presence in the digital space, thereby leading to the decline and failure of Kodak which heavily relied on film business, which was no obsolete.
