Yes a company can reach me through Facebook and Twitter, though more easily through FB. I tend to use Twitter to follow people, not companies. The advertising must be appealing, offer me value, and provide information and the ability to interact with the companybe honest about its products. The occasional free item, special pricing, and preview of new products for those who "friend" or follow them helps too.
