The benefits of being left brained are the person can think in terms of abstract letters, numbers, written words, formulas, and language. The person excels in reading, writing, spelling, and math. He can work without visualizing the whole picture. Responds well to phonics and learns to spell and read well. The benefits of being right brained are that the person sees and processes information in whole, concrete images, and does not require step by step conclusion. The person is reality based because he sees the whole in concrete images. He works multi-dimensionally. He has the ability to work emotionally, intuitively, and creatively. He reacts excellently to visual images, oral discussions, and handling objects. Whole brained thinkers have developed greater percentage of their brains, especially the right hemisphere. Conflicts may occur because those who use the left brain may easily follow written or oral instructions but those who use the right brain may require a visual demonstration before they are persuaded. Conflicts may occur because left brained people may handle sequence of numbers, letters, works, sentences, and ideas easily but these are not handled easily by the right brained.
