Selection: Job Analysis 3-4 pages
Develop a selection process for one of the following jobs.
? Bank Teller
? Retail Store Cashier
? Telephone Customer Service Representative
? Human Resource Manager
? Waiter or Waitress
This assignment will have two parts. The first part is associated with this unit, and the second part is associated with the second unit. For this assignment, use the course materials, resources, and the Library to begin the development of a selection process for the position you chose. For this part of the assignment, your selection process should include the following components:
1. Selection of the Job Analysis Method to be used and your rationale for its selection
2. Job Description for that position
3. List of Job Specifications
4. A List of the Resources Cited

Discussion Board assignments should be written using APA formatting, especially with regards to referencing materials. For help on this style of formatting it's recommended that you visit the AIU Library. While the discussion questions may be submitted late (late penalty will apply), students may not "make up" the remarks portion of this assignment - dialogue must occur during the week in which the question was assigned in order to earn credit for "remarks".

Job Analysis Method

The Job Analysis Method that can be used for the selection of a Human Resource Manager will be a systematic one, so that, the best person will be selected for the post. The method of personal interview will be chosen for it, which is an accurate and simple technique. The interview technique can take place in the form of one to one interview, panel interview, in depth interview etc. Along with the interview, various tests should also be conducted like attitude tests, personality test, psychological tests, behavior test, aptitude tests etc.

Rationale of the Methods

The interview technique will help in selecting the right person for the job. It will help in reviewing the person individually and in finding out what skills he has for becoming a successful 'Human Resource Manager'. The various tests selected for interview technique will be supportive in determining the personality traits of a person.
