1) It is fairly obvious that the success rate of a new product would improve if communication between R&D and marketing improved. From a human resources perspective, what are some of the programs and incentives you could put in place to accomplish this?

From a HR perspective, I will establish training programs to improve communication skills among the employees, such as those among the marketing employees and R&D employees. Further, I will organize sessions such as picnics, cooperative games, etc. so that employees know each other in a better manner and increase interaction and cooperation among themselves.

Further, to encourage interaction between R&D and Marketing department, I will organize brainstorming sessions wherein employees from both the departments will be encouraged to share their views, ideas and suggestions.

Establishment of rewards, incentives and recognition programs will also motivate the employees to interact with each other in a more effective manner, so as to earn better bonuses, rewards and recognition. Establishment of group or team rewards will really be helpful in augmenting group efforts.
