There is an important aspect of AA's culture that impacts organizational communication. This is the practice of the employees to seek important and critical information from informal sources of communication. In order to change this culture, the company must first communicate its needs, namely the nature of aviation and its safety objectives, the manner in which it wants to use communication (formal) to improve safety, that it expects the employees to improve safety through formal communication and that AA should be able to offer its passengers and employees improved safety.
