When considering a person's personality, psychologists often invoke the nature versus nurture argument to determine how an individual tends to develop and behave during his or her lifespan. For this particular assignment, let us consider Bandura's social learning theory. Simply put, this theory of personality puts forth the idea that humans learn how to behave through a process of observational learning. In essence, this theory can be applied to nearly every individual, in any situation and culture. This theory works, for example, by illustrating how people from one culture can enter a totally difficult culture and begin to adapt to the behaviour of those around them.
