The student has been hospitalized twice for excessive alcohol use in the past semester and at the end of term during finals threatened to commit suicide by jumping out a dorm room window. Their roommate and another friend held them back from acting on their suicide plan and they were hospitalized for three days before being released. The school is requiring an evaluation before they are allowed to live on campus next term to determine if they are mentally stable enough to live on campus. A Rule 25 has already been completed, and while the student shows some concerning binge-drinking behavior, there is no recommendation for substance use treatment.
