Mark is a 14-year old African- American male who lives with his mother and his two siblings, Debbie, age 16, and April, age 17. Mark's father lives in another state and the only time he sees him in person is for two months in the summer and one week during the winter break. His parents divorced 2 years ago after several years of fighting and silences. Mark wanted to live with his father but his father would not let him, saying that he worked too many hours to take care of a child. Since the divorce Mark has been irritable most of the time, yells at his sisters most days, and answers his mother with short replies. His mother tries to get Mark to talk to her but he says "You are just a girl and don't understand what boys go through". Mark is frequently late for school and often stays out on weekends for 2 to 3 hours past his curfew. He frequently makes fun of his sisters on social media. When asked why he does that he states "I have to live with all girls so I want them to pay for that". Mark calls or tries to face-time his father every weekend but his father often does not respond as he is spending time with his new girlfriend who Mark does not like.
