When people of different social and cultural backgrounds come together, there often brews a sense of conflict and misunderstanding. This is because culture is unique, it informs the way people view the world, what is important to them, how they make meaning out of what they see, hear and observe. What is ideal for one is not necessarily acceptable to the other and what is acceptable to some is downright abhorrent for others. Take for example the influence of religion and politics - these 2 social constructs shape people's sense of ethics and morality, right and wrong.
