For this writer, THIS is the foundation of the health care/cost 'crisis.' While the devil's advocate might argue that much boils down to the nature/nurture issue, and those in poverty, for example might not know any better, for the most part, self-care, prevention and applying optimal risk reduction strategies is paramount to maintain health.
