This scholarly journal research article focused on the bone mineral change that occurred within children who engaged in resistance training to ascertain whether children experienced positive effects associated with their femoral neck and lumbar spine while engaging in loading exercises. Researchers found that children who were able to increase the time and impact of their strength training exercises before puberty were able to obtain bone mineral gains throughout skelta sites when adults did not place certain controls on the time or impact. Less intrusive weight loss programs also yielded positive responses in different multi-skelta in a young according to researchers. Therefore, this research does provide a probability that strength resistance training in adolescents can assist in bone development.

This scholarly journal research article utilized a systematic review of scholarly journals to ascertain whether resistance weight training had a positive impact on bone mass accrual during the formative and growing years of adolescents. Researchers sought to differentiate between bone mass, bone structure, and bone density in regard to the impact that resistance training exercises had on increasing these bone variables to improve the bone strength of adolescents. Fourteen intervention studies were found using the systematic review while 23 observational studies that met the specific guidelines established by the researchers were found. It was found that weight resistance training was successful in increasing the bone strength of youths in three out of the five studies that focused on this specific area in which researchers were able to confirm that prepuberty and peripuberty years represented the most optional opportunity for youth to enhance bone strength using resistance training.

This study sought to ascertain whether resistance training for youth could actually damage bone structure and stunt the growth of young boys and girls during their growing years. Researchers sought to clarify the notion that engaging in this type of training during prepuberty years would damage the child's growth plates, which represent cartilage on a child at the end of bone and is the catalyst for bone growth. Researchers were able to conclusively use a systematic review of research studies to show that this myth is false and only a few cases of structural damage to the bones of prepuberty children have occurred as a result of strength training. This has been primarily as a result of improper lifting techniques that emanate from a lack of proper lifting and supervision or incompetent supervision on behalf of adults responsible for overseeing the child's strength resistance training. It was found that with the proper oversight from adult instructors, children can benefit from engaging in strength resistance training.

This research article focuses upon the importance of bone mass enhancement during adolescence as researchers purport that this is the most optimal period for achieving maximum bone growth in adolescents. To confirm this hypothesis, researchers were able to cultivate research sessions wherein adolescents from both genders engaged in resistance training exercises. Researchers found that ...
