1. What are the factors that influence the development of health behavior?
Within the Healthy People initiative, there are 10 Leading Health Indicators that represent the top health issues in America. Those top 10 Issues include health care access, immunization, overweight & obesity, physical activity, tobacco use, mental health, substance use, sexual behavior, injury, environmental quality that influence the development of healthy behavior (according to Healthy People 2010). These 10 health indicators were broken down into 28 focus areas (see Example 2 below) http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/dh/hplhidata.htm
