One can implement social studies into classroom instruction to support students in a pre-k classroom by using multicultural picture books and offering cultural facts to emphasize geography, culture, history, and people facts. For example, I like to use the book called Adelita: A Mexican Cinderella Story by Tomie dePaola, as it depicts a Mexican version of the Cinderella story and helps to offer insights into this ethnic group to culminate English skills and Social Studies contents accordingly.
