I am not finding this information on any resources which spell out exactly four kinds - this may be from the author of your textbook or your professor. Essentially, what the resources I am reading are saying is that information security involves preventing unauthorized disclosure of data, preventing misuse of data, preventing modification of data, and preventing loss of access to data (maybe by natural disaster, too?)
