Project life cycles, product/system life cycles and the Capability Maturity Model (CMM)

1. Project life cycle consists of different phases. Identify the major IT project management tasks associated with the concept, development, implementation, and closeout phases of the project life cycle. For each of the identified tasks, list the necessary project management skills to accomplish those tasks

2. Relationship between project life cycle and product/system life cycle. For this exercise, you may assume the spiral model for the product life cycle

3. Capability Maturity Model (CMM) is intended for process improvement in software development. Propose a project management maturity model based on CMM. Your model must have five levels corresponding to the five CMM levels. The new project management maturity model is intended to improve IT project management processes and systems.
