According to Turnbull, et. al., using participatory action research (PAR) creates an opportunity for researchers and stakeholders to collaborate in the designing and conducting of all phases of the research process which includes specification of questions, data collection and analysis, design, dissemination and utilization of information. PAR is involving both the researchers and the client participants in the conduct of research and it is not a traditional discrete research methodology. There is a greater participation and influence by the stakeholders in PAR.
