Submit a Problem Control & Completion Document which will demonstrate your ability to control a problem solution situation and complete the issue using the Control Phase of DMAIC.
READ THE REQUIRED READINGS IN BACKGROUND - Become familiar with the outline and contents of the Contrtol Phase.
FOLLOW THE STEPS OUTLINED IN BACKGROUND
USE THE CONTROL PHASE REPORT OUTLINE: click here
* Differentiate the various relevant aspects of the situation and determine the control and completion aspects of the problem solution at the Blackbelt level using various tools of the Control Phase
* Organize the appropriate information into a coherent report.
o Use the Control Phase Report Outline provided.
o Be sure to use Topic Headings that correspond to the major topics
* The report should contain all the necessary and sufficient aspects to completely define the problem.
o Include copies of various Tools that were used
o Provide Discussion and explanation where appropriate and necessary
o Include sources of documentation
o Include examples of reports used to generate evidence and data
* Upload the Report assignment. You may also upload supplemental documents into Additional files.
Running head: LEAN SIX SIGMA PROJECT CASE
Lean Six Sigma Project Case
Determine to whom you will turn over the process (Transfer of ownership)
The process will be transferred to person certified as a master in black belt level since he is in charge of six sigma programs and he is also responsible to oversee the implementation of six sigma processes. He guides six sigma project teams and therefore the six sigma process should be transferred to him to confirm that all the activities and outcomes provided are accurate.
The control plan provides process or product variables and provides characteristics of the process or product, how they are going to be measured and analyzed. It involves collecting data, generating controls for major variables, develop a plan that will continuously improve the process or product and determining to whom and how the process will be transferred to owners (Drake et al, 2008).
The first step in control phase of six sigma program is developing a monitoring plan that will ensure that the improved process is operating at the desired efficiency and provides desired quality. In order to monitor the improved process, documentation and the standardization of the improved process is important. Documentation is facilitated by identifying the qualities, characteristics and variables that should be measured and recorded. The measures and variables that need documentation include cost, schedule, scope and any changes to the plan. ...
