In my view, Stimulus- Response model of consumer behavior can be used to examine buyers in local markets. In the above model, marketing stimuli which include product, price, place and promotion and other stimuli which include economic, political, social and technological factors enter the customer's mind and produce certain responses. Marketing manager should try and understand what is going in the mind of the consumer-the "black box".
