The Apple Company was formed by three friends Ronald Wayne, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. The Apple computer is a major marketer, developer and manufacturer of peripheral products and personal computers for sale primarily to consumer markets, business, creative and government markets. It also sells database software, operating systems, developer tools, utilities and languages software (McAfee, 2002).

Alternatives Apple must consider to realize growth:

One of the alternatives that the Apple Company must consider to realize growth is the implementation of short term strategies. These short term strategies will help them continue growing now that Steve Jobs is not alive. The Apple's mission statement should also be changed since it is not an explanation of their purpose and direction but rather it is a description of their company. There is also a huge consumer market that Apple has not started to serve in the foreign market yet global expansion is very important. Apple can take advantage of high demand of consumers wanting hand held devices such as iPhone. It also has a user friendly website where people can get exactly hat they want when they log on (Bahel, 2009).

Apple can use this form of purchasing their products by using marketing tactics. Apple should also expand their recycling program and by making products that are environmentally friendly due to the rise of the consumer awareness of environmental concerns.
