There are some initial steps before actually taking active steps to creating the union. Here are three steps that will get the employees, who are interested in joining a union, started:
(1) Know their rights. The employee(s) need to understand that the federal and state laws guarantee the right to form unions! These rights include such things as "eligible employees have the right to express their views on unions, to talk with their co-workers about their interest in forming a union, to wear union buttons, to attend union meetings and in many other ways to exercise their constitutional rights to freedom of speech and freedom of association." Therefore, ti is important to get in touch with a union that will help organize even before starting to talk union.
