The current issues related to London Underground management-employment relations issue are that the employee unions are protesting against 800 job eliminations and restricted hours for ticket officers. The employees claim that that the cut of 450 jobs at ticket offices and 150 to 200 other stations posts mean lower safety and poor working conditions. The workers claim that they have lost trust in leadership and a loss of confidence in management. The employees feel that leadership and direction have fallen and seem to be disillusioned with the management. A large proportion of London Underground employees feel that there is little trust between senior managers and employees. The employees feel that the senior managers do not communicate openly and honestly with employees. The workers of London Underground are heavily unionized.
