The main objective for creating job descriptions relate towards feedback from the management department division job tasks needs (processes and skill sets). Thus, the HR Management can utilize the data sets to the job position for successfully creating a job description profile. In addition, the aim is in knowing the basic job tasks and requirements to fully completing the daily activities associated with the job. For instance, in the mortgage industry the role of an underwriter is superior to knowing the variety and many types of commercial, personal, and government loans. Moreover, the mortgage underwriter is abreast with ratios and calculations formulas to interpret lender merit on the behalf of the bank, in which, the strategy relate towards avoiding high risks loans.
Try and think of the job analysis as an interview for garnering a sufficient understanding to the many different roles within a particular company, such as, the mortgage banking entity that contains job positions:
a) Loan Officer (consider the role in variety of levels of expertise due to the required license involved within the particular state - that the loans are to be originated)
b) Loan Processor (consider the role as an assistant to both the loan officer and underwriter in the beginning phase as well as during the phase)
