Unstructured interviews are as the name suggests, lack structure and format. There are no preset questions and no real process of evaluating the candidate. The interviewer is thus at his or her own discretion as to how many questions to ask, what questions to ask, and how to evaluate the answers. Implicit bias and theories can also be the result as biases about gender, race, and disability typically arise in determining who is the best candidate.
