Baderman Island is a resort that caters to tourists and guests. For the purpose of this assignment, I will choose the room service process. The report serves food in the rooms of the guests. However, a great variability is being observed in the room service process. Sometimes, the ordered food is received quickly by the guests but at other times, it does take significant time in fulfilling the room service orders by the kitchen in the resort. Further, due to multiple orders during peak times such as the dinner time, the food quality is also suffered. Therefore, significant room for improvement exists in terms of timeliness, quality of food and service for this process.
In order to improve this process, first of all, the organization will need to conduct extensive analysis of the variability that exists in the process by looking at the delivery time for the orders in the recent period, such as past week or past month.
