My field of multicultural management is managing diversity. One important issue in managing diversity is to emphasize communication. When managing diversity, language and culture become very important. It is also important to recognize, and encourage employees to recognize that their own experience, background and culture are different from other cultures (1). There should be objective evaluation of employees. Their performance must be based on the ability of the employees to perform. A key cornerstone of managing diversity is to avoid stereotypes. Each employee should be viewed as a person or an individual.
The current state of the field of multicultural management in general and diversity management in particular are that research reveals that diversity management unleashes rich and diverse potential of an entire workforce (2).
The research topic is managing diversity. The background is that several management scholars say that human capital diversity is good for business organizations of today. In the backdrop of globalization, several firms are giving equal employment opportunities.
