    One is to build up a hype about iPhone launch by fixing a date and time when it will be available, allow people to inform in advance that they will be buying on that day and give press releases that say that huge crowds are expected at stores and that stocks are likely to run out.
    The other tactic is the use of the network stores as a channel of distribution. If AT&T is going to be the network that will support the iPhone then all AT&T stores should also simultaneously start selling iPhones on the same day.
