Genetic diversity is a branch of Biology which refers to large number of different species that can be found on earth as well the diversity within a particular species. The long term survival of each species is directly linked to the genetic diversity of the species in question. Genetic diversity of a particular species ensures long term survival because it can deter fatal diseases that can affect a particular species.
