    A) H. pylori is a bacterium that likes to reside in the epithelial tissue of the stomach. While there, they cause wounds and ulcerations that destroy the integrity of the epithelial tissue and blood vessels farther down. This causes bleeding into the stomach that is further aggravated by the acidic environment of the stomach now digesting the unprotected tissues of the wound.
