Being poor is knowing exactly how much everything costs.
Being rich means not having to know how much anything costs.
Being poor is getting angry at your kids for asking for all the crap they see on TV.
Being rich means never knowing what your kids buy because they have their own charge account.
Being poor is having to keep buying $800 cars because they're what you can afford, and then having the cars break down on you, because there's not an $800 car in America that's worth a damn.
Being rich means having to own at least three different current model cars because that is the standard you are expected to conform to. On the bright side if one car has mechanical trouble you have numerous others to choose from.
Being poor is hoping the toothache goes away.
Being rich means being able to cut to the front of the line at the dentist office when you have a toothache.
Being poor is knowing your kid goes to friends' houses but never has friends over to yours.
Being rich means the parties are always held at your house and you are known as the cool parent. On the downside you are rarely at home to monitor the party because you have to be at business dinners or events so you really don't know what's going on in your home.
Being poor is going to the restroom before you get in the school lunch line so your friends will be ahead of you and won't hear you say "I get free lunch" when you get to the cashier.
Being rich means going to a private school where excellent meals are served but where all the kids complain about them anyway in order to show their superiority.
