Explain how you think Christian ethics is an expression of worship.
- Christian Ethics or moral theology falls under virtue ethics, is many-faceted and is deontological in nature (Wilkens 2017). The Christian view is the practice of belief in everyday life, throughout one's life. By its deontological nature, the morality of the action itself is judged if the action right or wrong following a set of principles. As a type of virtue ethics, Christian ethics treats moral values, Christian values, as central to life and one's way of living. Christians see living with Christian morality as obeying God and professing faith. This is the moral duty they must practice and exercise to be Christian, to remain faithful. The foci of such practice based on Christian tradition are the 10 commandments, the 'Sermon on the Mount' and teachings and way of living exemplified in the Bible, the Christian canon (Britannica 2022), the 'Word of God'. No matter the denomination, the Bible is the source of teachings from the everyday ordinary Christian reader to the theologians of churches.
