Personality disorders are becoming more and more commonly diagnosed in today's society. There are three different classes of Personality Disorders: Class A, Class B, and Class C. Children can be diagnosed with personality disorders as well as adults. Those that suffer from personality disorders can live a relatively normal productive life if the symptoms of the disorder are controlled through medication, counseling, and by the use of coping skills.

The first is called the Class A Personality Disorder and consists of personality disorders that are characterized by peculiar thinking or behaviors. The most common disorder in this class is Paranoid personality type. The symptoms of Paranoid Personality Disorder can include distrust and suspicion of other people; believing that other people are trying to hurt them; being hostile towards others; and also being emotionally detached from friends and family members. .
